Rubik’s Cube experts – what are your favorite resources to teach a kid strategies for solving these things? Rush got one for his birthday and has used an app a few times to solve it, but I think he’s ready to start leaning how to do it himself. Do you have a favorite YouTube channel or instruction book? Please share your infinite wisdom with us. Thanks!

It was such a beautiful sunny day for our little league baseball field clean up day! So fun to see all the families come out with shovels and rakes, real and fake. Thanks for making the fields look so great, and for making giant piles of weeds to pose atop!

Happy birthday to this 9 year old! Rushton is such a fun kid, sports lover, voracious reader, excellent student, kind heart, thoughtful friend, peacemaker, and everything a parent could hope for in a first child. He also has the most contagious laugh! I’m so glad he’s mine forever.

Today’s adventure was the Ladybug Hike, and after all that hiking, we saw 3 live ladybugs and a few dozen dead ones. 😑 But the forest was breathtaking and I was with my favorite people, so I’d still call it a win.

Jake has been gone for most of the last 3 weeks, and while the kids and I have been getting along just fine, we are so ready for him to come back!! I tried to make our last day without him fun, so after baseball practices and birthday parties, we tried a new (to us) pizzeria, held puppies at the pet store, and finished out the night with a movie. Just one more sleep!

Saturday morning breakfast donut string, inspired by some other class’s Valentine’s Day party. Best $3 ever spent!
