I had so much fun at the big kids’ school Valentine’s Day parties! We did some minute-to-win it games in Rushton’s class and had some sweet treats in Hailey’s class. For some crazy reason, I volunteered to make frosted sugar cookies for BOTH classes. I was regretting my decision while I was frosting cookies at 11:30 pm the night before, but seeing their excitement to have me in their classes with bright pink cookies made it totally worth it.

We finally saw Jumanji, and Rush was most stoked to be at the theater where you can take your shoes off. The kids laughed their heads off, learned over and over the proper context in which to use the term “badass”, and have all come downstairs after bedtime saying they couldn’t stop thinking about the scary parts. Still, #noregrets

Hailey did a 3-day cheerleading clinic at a local high school a few weeks back, and their big hurrah was to cheer at a varsity basketball game. She was oddly timid at the start of the first practice (sometimes I forget how much my introvert dislikes loud noises, crowds, and chaos), but she ended up loving the whole experience. And it was so fun to do it with so many of her friends – from school, church, and all over! #yvhs #warriors

Logan and I happened upon the coolest park in Montclair this morning. It had a bank, stage coach, 2 big playgrounds, an amphitheater with a swamped stage, a pond, ducks and a turtle, a half pipe, and lots to explore. Yay for sunshine and 70 degrees in January!
