I was feeling ambitious and overly patient one day last week, so I taught Hailey how to sew! I had the cutest mini charm pack from @evabmakery that was just perfect for a mini quilt. Hailey laid out the squares, sewed the rows, pressed the seams, trimmed stray threads, used a rotary cutter for the border and binding, was a pro with the foot pedal and presser foot. I did the free motion quilting and binding. We did it all in one afternoon, and although that’s a lot of work for a little girl, she loves her quilt and I think she’ll have good memories of us making it together. Here’s to many more mother-daughter sewing projects!
