The water was FREEZING, but within minutes the kids were soaking and begging for their swimsuits. I spent the afternoon snuggling our cold kids with towels while they mustered up courage to jump in the lake over and over again. #mammothlakes

Mammoth Lakes puts on a pretty great July 4th parade! All the Bain grandkids approve (even baby Matthew, who was not crawling in the street with the big kids). #mammothlakes

We had some prime parade-watching real estate, where the kids caught fistfuls of candy and got spayed by fire trucks. And we all got plenty of sunshine. ️ #mammothlakes

Party in the USA! I hope everyone had a happy Independence Day yesterday. We spent it with family doing all the patriotic things we could think of – pancake breakfast, parade, swimming, naps, burgers, s’mores, and fireworks. I’m so grateful for this land I love and the freedoms we enjoy! #mammothlakes
