Not much going on around here besides the usual hustle, but we’ve got hippos on the brain lately. I love when kids first learn to read/spell and they start writing on their own. That’s a big word for a little girl!

I’m so proud of this kid! Rushton played three piano songs in his school’s talent show tonight. He was a little nervous but mostly excited and he totally nailed it! I love his confidence and his willingness to put himself out there. As soon as he heard there was going to be a talent show, he knew exactly what he wanted to do and getting him to practice was easy. He also knew exactly what he wanted to wear. #gordonhaywardhair Fun to have his piano teacher @cinhanks there too.

I love me a cute, soft t-shirt, and @makervalley has some of the best. This is my favorite one these days, even if I rarely get around to either Netflix or quilting! I’m positive that winning the #mvbdayswag giveaway would get me back in the groove!

Rushton had a birthday party today at Baseline Basketball Academy and it was SO. MUCH. FUN!!! Over two hours of shooting hoops, doing drills, playing games, chugging Gatorade, and eating pizza and cake. Coach Anton @baselinehoops25 is the best when it comes to basketball and kids! It was seriously the best party for these basketball-obsessed boys. And they all looked so good in their Warriors gear! ⛹️

14 kids, 3 moms, 1 dog, and like 87 “walking” sticks that kept poking me or breaking or just plain causing so many tears! But it was so much fun hiking with this crew (and a half, as my friend Bridget said)! I’m so glad I have friends nearby who get me outside with my kids. And it’s impossible to stay away from these emerald green hills, especially on St. Patrick’s Day!

Hailey was my little hiking buddy today. I hope she never gets too old to hold my hand.

“WEMMEEEE OOOOUUUUTTTTT!!!” Logan has never been fond of the swing. I think he likes the IDEA of it, but usually within about 5 seconds he’s wailing to get back out. I guess he just prefers throwing sand at other kids instead… #sorry

This was our family’s first leprechaun trap ever! We didn’t catch him, but we’re pretty sure he took a penny or two from inside. Hailey loves crafting and projects, so even though tensions get high when scissors and glue and glitter and colored stuffs are flying around the kitchen, I’m so glad we did it. She kept saying, “This is the best day of my life!”
