I’m so proud of this kid! Rushton played three piano songs in his school’s talent show tonight. He was a little nervous but mostly excited and he totally nailed it! I love his confidence and his willingness to put himself out there. As soon as he heard there was going to be a talent show, he knew exactly what he wanted to do and getting him to practice was easy. He also knew exactly what he wanted to wear. #gordonhaywardhair Fun to have his piano teacher @cinhanks there too.

Rushton had a birthday party today at Baseline Basketball Academy and it was SO. MUCH. FUN!!! Over two hours of shooting hoops, doing drills, playing games, chugging Gatorade, and eating pizza and cake. Coach Anton @baselinehoops25 is the best when it comes to basketball and kids! It was seriously the best party for these basketball-obsessed boys. And they all looked so good in their Warriors gear! ⛹️

This was such a fun week for Rushton (and it’s not over yet!). At school, he was the Star of the Week so he got to make/share his All About Me poster, bring Show and Tell items (KD basketball and Rocket Raccoon), read his favorite storybook to the class (If You Give a Mouse an iPhone), get a poster signed by all his classmates, and his teacher read the class a letter I wrote with funny stories about Rush and why he is such a great kid. Last night he went to his first real Warriors game and they WON! Then tonight was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby (which he did NOT win…). And tomorrow is his basketball birthday party! (And another baseball game in the morning and a family dinner in the evening!) He’s a lucky kid, and we’re sure lucky to have him around! ☘️
