Restrained and asleep – about the only time Logan isn’t running full-speed or destroying things.

It was such a beautiful day for a walk around the reservoir! Too bad we never got that walk… Hailey torpedo-ed down the first hill on a scooter sans helmet and crashed pretty hard. It appears she walked away without a concussion, thankfully, but her backside is all scraped up and it killed her spirit for a bit. So we skipped the walk and went to the park instead, soaking up the sunshine all the same.

Sometimes I forget to just play with my kids. Today we did puzzles, trains, and legos while Rush and Jake were at baseball tryouts – I needed this little play time as much as they did. ️

Rushton has spent the last few weeks writing and illustrating a book for school, and he finally finished it tonight. It turned out amazing! I’m so proud of his creativity, writing, and perseverance. The story is like Jumanji but with a basketball video game, and he couldn’t stop smiling when he read the completed book to Jake tonight. He can’t wait to share it with his class and is already dreaming of the millions of dollars that he’ll probably make once his book gets published…

I met up with my junior high BFF Melissa the other day and left wondering why the heck it took so long for us to finally reconnect in person! Besides kids and college and 20+ years of life experiences, it was like no time had passed at all.

It all started with pigtails, and then yadda yadda yadda, we had Harley Quinn’s hammer made out of paper and tape! Just a regular Tuesday around here…

I finally got Logan some proper rain boots, and he has been stomping puddles like a madman ever since!

We got a Zelda version of Clue for Christmas and it was the perfect marriage of board game meets video game. I don’t think I’ve played Clue since I was a kid! For the record, I did NOT win.
