Condolences to all those suffering in the Polar Vortex. ️ We spent this gorgeous California winter afternoon doing yard work and juicing oranges. #donthatemeforpostingthis
100 days of school down, lots more to go! Logan dressed as an old man, in dress pants with a polo tucked in, and all those brown smudges on his face are supposed to be wrinkles…
I don’t know what I love so much about this photo (besides my girl, of course), but I didn’t want it to get lost forever among my 40,000+ photos on the cloud…
When the sun hits the trail juuuuust right.
After working on our Hiker badge in Girl Scouts yesterday, I couldn’t wait to get my kids outside! The trail was a little stepper and muddier at times than we anticipated, but the sunshine and ridge-top views were spectacular. The hills really are that green! I where we live.
We spent our rainy early-release Wednesday baking snickerdoodles and playing basketball in the church gym with friends. I always start Wednesdays wondering how we’ll fill up a long day, but I usually end them exhausted because we found too much to do!
I had loads of more important things to do tonight, but making is good for my soul. It was time for a potholder upgrade! ️
We found the ladybugs! The kids were equal parts fascinated and grossed out. Ladybugs were literally piled on top of each other on sticks, leaves, blades of grass… EVERYWHERE. (Park at the Skyline Gate staging area, then take the Stream Trail to where it intersects with the Prince Trail in Redwood Regional Park. November thru February.)
With rain in the forecast all week, we had to take in today’s sunshine! A bike ride through the redwoods hit the spot.
Girl Scout leader Discoveree was so inspiring and informative! I took classes in geocaching , hike planning ⛰, games for groups ♀️, and felted soap . Now I almost want to do daily Brownie meetings so we can do all the hikes and activities!
