The kids were out of school but I was busy this morning so we stayed home. By afternoon, the green hills and sunshine were beckoning me! I took the kids on a “walk in the hills” (because if I call it a “hike”, they stage a revolt) that was supposed to be easy. The first portion was almost straight up!! But the 360 view from the top was absolutely spectacular. Along the trail, we saw wildflowers, monarch butterflies, and tadpoles in the pond. There’s so much beauty right here in our backyard! I liked the hike so much that I went back after dropping the kids off, to retrieve Logan’s baseball team hat from some tall grass at the tip top of the hill. ‍♀️
