They may not have won tonight, but these kids played some really great baseball! It was game 4 of the 9/10 Future Stars series and a gorgeous evening for baseball. Rushton killed it on the pitcher’s mound and his team had several spectacular plays! It has been so much fun watching him play this year, and seeing how he has grown as an athlete in skill and sportsmanship. As their last batter struck out, my heart melted as all of his teammates cheered him off the field, patted his helmet, and put their arms around him. I couldn’t be more proud of these boys and their coaches. At 37 years old, I can finally say that I love baseball.️out until next season!
