Chasing waterfalls instead of sticking to the rivers and the lakes that they’re used to.
At the foot of a fallen giant.
Uncle Josh lead us to a geocache in the redwoods! I see a lot more of this in our future.
This Independence Day, I felt so grateful for the freedom and hope the red, white, and blue represent, but also frustrated at the inequality and harm experienced by so many, often in the name of patriotism. May we recognize the privileges that we enjoy (often arbitrarily or unfairly), find ways to meaningfully serve the underprivileged and heart-heavy, and fight harder for the most vulnerable among us.
Hailey was the queen of her volcano . @spurzack has some serious sand skillz!
We spent last week on the super Northern California coast exploring the redwoods with the Spurlocks. No Bigfoot sightings, but we did see a bear, elk, and thousands-year old trees. We camped, swam and hot-tubbed, ate hot dogs and s’mores by our fire on the beach, hiked through redwood forests, stayed up late talking, watched fireworks, barfed on winding roads, tossed bean bags, rode bikes, and just plain vacationed hard! So grateful for everyone who made the trip! And extra props to baby Tommy for being a good sport through it all.
