Hailey’s Brownie troop has been busy serving this season! In November, they used their troop funds to fill a Welcome Home basket for a family being placed in permanent housing. In December, they went caroling at a rest home with a sister Daisy troop.
On the way home, we ate Chick-Fil-A with cousins and then sat in a very crowded auditorium for Matthew’s preschool program! We couldn’t see or hear him, but we’re positive Matthew was the strongest performer.
On Wednesday, the kids and I trekked down to the Christmas Crèche Exhibit in Palo Alto. We loved all the colors and unique styles of the hundreds of nativities from across the world. This year was extra special because my good friend @lindalovestopaint was the featured artist! I used to babysit her sweet girls while she painted when they lived in Fremont, and they quickly became family to me. Over the years, I’ve accompanied them to San Diego, New Jersey/New York, and even Switzerland! They have been such a positive influence in my life and I love watching their girls grow up and start families of their own. Linda’s art truly lights the world.
After Thanksgiving, we visited my parents in Mexico City. It was such an adventure with ancient pyramids, dirt roads, exotic eats, bright colors, wild animals, and late nights! But the WiFi was spotty and we all got food poisoning, so I’ll catch up on posting stories and pics eventually…
