We brought down the house at Fenton’s last night with our party of 18! And don’t worry, Mom, even Scott made sure not to leave any hot fudge on the plate. I love these people and I love a Black & Tan with all my heart (and belly).
(And we dined next to Samin Nosrat of Salt,Fat, Acid, Heat! )
Raclette! A true genius made this up. Melted cheese draped over grilled meats (tri tip and tilapia) and veggies, fruit (Brie+apples), and toasted baguette. Top with chimichurri and voila—dining perfection!
On Thursday and Friday, my brother’s family stayed with us, so we started strong with Star Wars and Super Duper Burger, and then spent the rest of our time playing games and eating cookies. Jake and Rush introduced the boys to Dungeons and Dragons. Hailey and Macey made new songs and charts with hand bells and tried 3-legged roller blading. Logan spent a lot of time hiding behind the couch playing the Switch and watching the big boys play some strategy game on phones, and I did a lot of dishes and talking with Laura and everyone. We had people sleeping on all the beds, couches, and floors, so it was a full house! Just the way we love it.
