My mother helped Hailey get going again on the knitting she started 6 months ago. This is one of the many infinity activities that Hailey prefers over homeschool.
I’m pretty sure that car washing fits into our new homeschool curriculum. Somehow.
I know that healthcare workers and teachers and delivery people and grocery store clerks and basically everyone else are the real MVPs, but can I at least get an Honorable Mention for playing an entire game of LIFE with my 3 first-timers?
15 years of marriage and there’s still no one else I’d rather quarantine with than @whyisjake! We haven’t been in any photos together since our cancelled-Thailand Santa Cruz trip, so this old sweaty biking pic will have to do. Now let’s get on with our romantic anniversary evening of Netflix and gummy bears. ️
I was super excited to do this cute Earth Day craft with the kids last week, but no one was feeling it and Logan was the only one who even attempted it. I guess that’s about right. The Earth is sick right now and also just not feeling it.
Today we rode 10 miles – even Logan! Rush got a new bike a few weeks ago so Hailey and Logan both bumped up to bigger bikes. It has been so cool watching them all ride bigger and better! We’re raising quite the biker gang.
Our favorite little guy got a window in his teeth this week!
When your neighbor hears your kids screaming while fighting over your sad cooler “pool” and offers to let you borrow their giant blow-up gorilla sprinkler.
Our school had a teacher parade where the teachers and principal stood along the school sidewalk while families in cars drove through the drop off line and waved. It was so good to see our teachers! We miss them all! (Apparently I was so overcome that I didn’t take any pics, but Logan’s sweet teacher sent me this one of my family. It was the best day of Logan’s life, poking his head up through the sunroof, even though he didn’t get to sit on TOP of the car like his friend did. You know who you are!! )
Hailey’s Sioux Native American diorama! Quarantine school isn’t all worksheets and online modules. I love the art projects the teachers have assigned so far, whether simple or complex.
